Hello, and welcome to Night Lights and Day Dreams. My name is Lacy and I’m a student working toward my Bachelors degree in English via online university courses. Whenever I tell people I’m working toward an English degree, the first question they ask is if I want to teach. Nope. I want to write.
I was born, raised, and currently live in Corpus Christi, Texas, which always seems like a more exciting place to people who don’t live here or have never visited.
My interests, as well as most of the people I love (besides my wonderful family), exist beyond the city limits. Also, I’m a twin.
For almost ten years I have been feeding an intense love of Japanese culture, often with music, anime, dramas, and excursions to conventions where I can overload on Japanese snacks, see Japanese bands, buy pointlessly cute things, and play with my friends. For a while, I even worked as a volunteer writer for a website dedicated to Japanese music. I was the News Manager for a period of time, but I also wrote music reviews and band profiles and bios, and conducted a couple of interviews. It was a great experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Some of my other loves include writing, reading, photography, art, movies, watching game-play videos on YouTube (especially MineCraft), animals, food, travel, fashion (not that I’m particularly fashionable), cute stuff, and a number of other things.
I believe magic is all around, and I want to share some of my loves, inspirations, experiences, and dreams with everyone.
